Happy Birthday!

My oldest son turned 8 yesterday and we are Celebrating today!
SO,
This blog is dedicated to him...to everything he teaches me and for how much love he gives.
For my children's protection and privacy, I do not post thier names or pictures so let me describe how I see him...
Quiet strength and a warm heart; definately driven by words of affirmation and gifts of time.
He is my protector - even to his siblings, he doesn't allow verbal abuse or physical taps, even when just in play.
He loves God! He is a praise and worhsip leader at our church for his classmates.
He strives to do right and is very hard on himself when he feels he has failed.
His eyes will always speak his truths! Handsome blue eyes that will dart away when a truth is not on his toungue, or sparkle, when he is encouraging me with his young wisdom.
I love my son for everything he is, everything he is striving to be and everything he has yet to discover.
Eventhough, like all parents, I look for the attributes that I recognize in my son...I am amazed in the parts of my son that I don't recognize. Attributes that are not mine or my husbands...I believe this are the strengths that God has given him, that we need to help him recognize and develop.
This are the gifts that make him unique and help him find his purpose and place.
Happy Birthday my son, my blessed gift from God!
Love,
Your Mom
