Sharing with a confidant last week, the statement was made. . .
"Kym, that must be a heavy backpack to carry."
Like everyone, I have some "HEAVY" items in my history.
- Some items you can pull out of the backpack, put on the shelf and leave there.
- Other items seem to find their way back in to the backpack when you are not watching.
- Then there are the items that we choose to leave in. The remnants that we keep, almost like a badge of honor or "award" for surviving.
- Finally, there are the items that you put on the shelves, but other people think you should keep in your sack at all times.
My friend's statement reminded me;
1) I pack my bag. No one has the right to put something in it I do not allow to be there.
2) I do not have to carry everything, all day, everyday, FOREVER.
3) I am responsible for choosing "backpack watchers". The trusted people who will remind me my pack is getting too full and they will help me unload it.
As you pack your bag for this day my hope for you is that your load is light your heart is full and your dreams guide your way!Be Well,
Kym Lamb
